Snails regularly eat my wife's flowers in our garden, which is inexcusable (surely). So we have these traps filled with some beer (no kidding) and snails climb in, have party then realize there's no way out. Life is cruel: you either eat them or they eat you. I didn't know snails eat flowers. Some people say they loosen the soil which is a good thing. We used to have a good stand of ivy just like that. It attracts wood roaches. Your capture is very pretty.

A fine close up of this crafty device. I haven't heard of this trap, but I have heard of beer doing folks in at a party!
