Here's the story of that strange title. The ice was thick on the lake, about 10-12 centimeters, so I could safely walk on it as I always do. But not everywhere. Half an hour later I took this shot I was approaching from the piers to this blue boat. And when I reached that line where there's no snow on the ice it has broken under my feet. I fell in the lake, dipped to my chest, but I didn't feel the cold. I managed to get to the blue boat and climb out, still not feeling cold. Two young fishermen came to help me with blankets after I throw off my wet clothes. I wasn't cold at all, adrenalin worked in me. They drove me to my father-in-law's house. (Many thanks to them.) My good old trustworhy 20d and Sigma 18-50/2.8 lens have died but I survived (and the memory card also survived btw). It's sad but still much better than the other way around. Now I have to figure out something very quickly to replace my lost gear, the daily blog might also suffer it. Anyway I'm allright.
