It's weird how they stay in that formation. I'm guessing there's some kind of reason for it, but have no idea what it could be. You just don't get a bunch of birds to make a nearly perfect ellipse by accident, though, I wouldn't think.
This is very similar to your last one, but I like the addition of the foreground elements. Dustin W. Fletcher @ 2008-12-23 01:29:46
Beautiful capture, amazing how the birds are flying in that tight formation, it almost looks like a finger print JJ @ 2008-12-23 02:25:53
This is my favorite in the series, YZ (so far, anyway) The framing between the reeds, the bare tree, and sky is most evocative. Nice. Stephen Phillips @ 2008-12-23 04:14:43
Nice composition with this circle of birds in the sky Oeilonirique @ 2008-12-23 08:53:46

I like the foreground elements that you got in this version! Andy @ 2008-12-23 17:55:52
Another remarkable image of these birds flying so closely together. Nature is amazing...and this is a good example of how can they possibly do this as a group. don @ 2008-12-23 18:10:40
Did you chase these guys around? This one - especially - is exceptional! Marcie @ 2008-12-23 18:23:06
Excellent with the foreground, but I think I prefer without (yesterday), just my opinion.

Great unusual capture!
Great moment captured. Remus @ 2008-12-26 20:42:13
Wow. This is just beautyful. The composition, foreground vs background. How could you know, that the birds will be there where you wanted them to bee? Carlo Schüller - Photographer @ 2008-12-30 16:02:21
